Based in the desert of West Texas, Amara Bratcher is a full-time student minister who also writes, takes pictures and volunteers with at-risk children. She has written a book entitled The Bridge That Love Built for adopted kids who have gaps in the early years of their lives. She likes her coffee French Pressed and wears her hair curly 365 days a year.

I think of God as a God who did and as a God who was.

It startles me to realize He is a past tense power in my mind.

He has heard…but is He hearing?
He has moved…but is He moving?
He has healed…but is He healing?

I am convicted by the faith I have in the past and the hope I have for the future…but what about now?

I believe the Word fulfilled.
I look for the Word one day to be fulfilled.
God, grant me audacity to see You fulfilling.
