twenty years old

Twenty years old,
can’t even legally buy a beer.

Now famous,
ammunition in a war fought with words.

Alive but a moment
immortalized in death.

You deserve better than that.

What were your dreams?
What type of music did you listen to?
Who was waiting for your next Snap?

Afghanistan
Bomb
Detonation still being felt.

I’m sorry.
No twenty year old should bear the weight of that evil.

Let the Dawn Come
