Prayer of Abigail

Grant me grace to remain intact
when my voice has been silenced,
when my security has been threatened,
when his pride goes before my fall.

Ten thousand Nabal’s may rage and make war
Anchor me again to Your word and my worth.
I am good, I am valuable, I am Your design.

Remind me that words can destroy but they can also avert destruction.
Help me use mine wisely, not in insolence but for salvation.
